Harris & Ross physio team at Wilmslow Half Marathon
Congratulations go to all the runners who took part in the 2011 Asics Wilmslow Half Marathon.
We were on site with our portable physiotherapy tent, alongside Trevor Painter, the coach of GB runner Jenny Meadows.
With so many runners of all abilities at the event this weekend we were able to provide running tips as well as help those out with injuries and concerns both before and after the race.
The race proved to be a draw for athletes around the country, with the mens’ 1st, 2nd and 4th places going to runners from the Birchfield Harriers club in Birmingham, sandwiched in in the bronze medal position was a Morpeth Harriers runner.
The first local was in 7th place - Dave Norman of Altrincham & District AC and also in the top 10 was Gareth Raven from Sale Harriers.
The winning time was Jean Ndaylisenga in 01:04:24.
The first lady to cross the line was Julie Briscoe, running in the 35+ category. The Wakefield District Harriers member ran home in 1:13:28.
