How to ride the Etape du Tour March diary

Where February was about tough love, March is all about getting the miles in. It's the time to get in the saddle and go beyond that 50 mile marker towards 60-70 miles.

Rob Harris is a former international cyclist and triathlete and veteran of the Etape and this is the latest in a series of diaries for Sports tours International.

March is also the time when you should be thinking about nutrition and how you should put together your own personal strategy - bars, gels and when you should be taking them.

At the same time it's worth looking ahead to the UK Sportives, not just to get the miles in, but also to get used to drafting. This can only be learnt by getting out there and practicing in a group.

For more information, check out Rob's guides for January and February and of course read the article in its entirety on the Sports Tours International website.

If you are concerned or just need a tips, advice or some physio work, don't hesitate to get in touch with the team here at Harris & Ross.
