The Christie Tower Run 2017Posted on February 27th, 2017
Over the weekend, Harris & Ross massage therapists, Megan Wallis and Sophie Tucker swapped their treatment rooms for one with a view, providing massages on Cloud 23 in the Hilton Hotel!
Raising funds for Christie’s, participants stormed the 798 steps up the skyscraper and were treated to not only a glass of bubbly, but also to a post-run rub down by either Megan or Sophie.
Treatment was available to everyone who braved the challenge; from Superman and Superwoman to our very own Lord Mayor!
Having a massage after a hefty work out might be the last thing on your mind, but loosening tight muscles and helping your body to recover is a great way to prevent injuries and soreness.
Debbie (pictured) completed the tower run for her sister, as she has been diagnosed with cancer. She successfully completed the tower run in 11 minutes and has raised over £800!
Patrik Schneidgen (pictured), is a professional tower runner from Slovakia and won the event completing the run in 4 mins 17 secs.
He mentioned the massage and advice he had received after smashing the climb, was by far the best, even despite having completed events all over the world!
Every competitor who had a massage was very appreciative of the support and advice provided, with one Christie organiser thanking us for our support throughout the day.
