Hale’s Murray debuts at Wimbledon

Posted on June 27th, 2013

Harris & Ross are supporting Samantha Murray as she plays in her first ever Grand Slam tennis tournament.

The British Number 7 from Hale appeared on the opening day of Wimbledon, where she faced Italian, Camila Giorgi in the first round.

The 25-year-old put up an extremely encouraging performance, managing to serve more aces than her opponent and even hitting as many winners as her, but ultimately it was the unforced errors which were Samantha’s undoing, going down 6-3, 6-4.

She’ll now concentrate on the doubles competition.

Murray has been working alongside Tracey Matthews at Harris & Ross in Altrincham getting ready for the competition.
