Jenny Meadows and Hayley Jones prepare for the Commonwealth Games in Portugal

Posted on July 25th, 2014

Hannah Griffiths from Harris & Ross’ Altrincham clinic has just returned from Portugal, where she’s been working with Jenny Meadows and Hayley Jones.

The duo are getting ready for the Commonwealth Games in January. Jenny will be running the 800m, while Hayley is in Team England’s 4x100m relay team.

“Each morning I would go through some specific tests with Jen to make sure she had good hip and spine alignment before she trained,” explained Hannah.

“We would then go the track where Jen and Hayley would do a session before heading back to the apartment for fuel and rest before their afternoon run or some strength and conditioning work.

“I would treat again in the evening to flush out their legs to aid recovery and/ or get rid of any tight muscles with some deep tissue massage.”

Before they went to Glasgow, we spoke to Jenny and Hayley about their aspirations and working alongside the Harris & Ross team.
