Jenny Meadows counts down to the Olympics

Posted on December 15th, 2011

Jenny Meadows has been featured in The Independent as she prepares for the London Olympics.

It’s going to be a massive few months for the Wigan Harrier and Harris & Ross will be at her side throughout.

At 30-years-old, the 800m runner admitted to the paper that this was likely to be her last chance at Olympic level, but she will be greeting 2012 in great form.

Our team has been working hard with Jenny in this country and in the warm weather training camps in South Africa and the 2011 season culminated in a historic win in Zurich. She became the first Brit to win the Diamond Race – an aggregate of all the races in the Diamond League season.

A fantastic achievement and a big boost for London. The only thing now she tells The Independent is to try and get her family tickets to the 800m finals!
