Laura Robson Returns to Harris & Ross, WilmslowPosted on June 16th, 2017
After 6 months of being away from Harris & Ross, Laura Robson is back in the Wilmslow fold with some new ideas and a new focus.
I love to travel, but Morocco was not a destination at the top of my list, let alone somewhere I would visit twice in a month! Picture this: stretching, moving, breathing, ‘flowing’ – all on a roof terrace in the sunshine with the waves crashing on to the shore. This was the setting of the yoga retreat I journeyed to with my close friend, Fiona Lundie.
What an experience. From a complete yoga beginner and maybe quite ignorant to its real benefits, I am now a huge fan! I won’t go in to too much detail about the wonders it does for your mind, but as a result, I felt I was in the best physical shape ever. It is amazing how beneficial, regular stretching and moving really is for you. Although I am not yet jumping to be a yoga instructor, I will certainly be incorporating some of its techniques and principles in to my practices here.
My second visit to Morocco called for a different vibe; providing physiotherapy treatment for the GB Taekwondo team during their competitions. I have been lucky enough to spend time with the team since then and will continue to work with them in the future.
Bringing new skills to the clinic
Returning to Wilmslow, there are a lot of new faces with fresh ideas and expertise. I am excited to work alongside such knowledgeable practitioners and continue my quest to convert everyone else to mountain biking!
I have plans to complete my Bike Fit training, so I can continue to treat cyclists, triathletes, downhill racers, motor-bike racers and develop my knowledge for all things bikes! Currently, I am Team Physio for Syndicate Racing Downhill Mountain Bike team and will be visiting the World Cup venues over the coming months.
Providing the best for my patients throughout their recovery journey
As a Hydrotherapist, I look forward to helping patients move and gain confidence in the pool. As well as tending to patients at the Wilmslow clinic, I will be providing treatment to the staff at Bentley Motors. My application for a company car has been submitted…I can dream!
There are some fantastic facilities here at Wilmslow Total Fitness, most of which will be used as part of my treatment. I will also be continuing to develop relationships with staff and Personal Trainers of ProFit, to guide patients through their injury rehabilitation from start to finish.
