World Superbike rider Rae wins after “tune up” at Harris & RossPosted on August 5th, 2013
Jonathan Rae (Pata Honda World Superbike) won Race 1 of the eni FIM Superbike Championships at Silverstone this weekend.
He’d prepared for the event with some intensive physiotherapy with Doug Jones at Harris & Ross, as he recovered from the demanding Suzuku 8 Hour race in Japan.
It was a tough race, with rain playing a major part and causing it to be reduced to 17 laps. But Rae had done the damage on Lap 7 as he pulled away from the chasing pack and secured his first winning podium finish since Donington Park in 2012.
“With such a busy schedule recently it was great to find time to see Doug to address some key issues in my body. Not only did Doug ease the pain in my neck & back but he’s also implementing a strength & conditioning programme to ensure I’m in the best physical shape for my job,” said Rae.
“Doug was also on hand this weekend at Silverstone making me feel more comfortable on the bike which enabled me to win my first Superbike race in 2013. This support is invaluable.”
