Our Wigan double with Jenny Meadows and the Warriors

An absolutely fantastic weekend of sport for us here at Harris & Ross, with two massive wins for both Jenny Meadows and the Wigan Warriors.

Jenny recorded her fastest time of the year when she got gold in the 800m in the Aviva London Grand Prix and she’s looking to capitalise on that after gaining selection to GB’s squad for the World Championships.

With a bronze in 2009, a silver in 2010, the Wigan Harrier is hoping that this year’s World’s in South Korea will bring home the gold.

Our team are continuing to work alongside Jenny this season as she builds towards 2012 and the London Olympics.

Meanwhile Wigan Warriors pulled off a dramatic victory against arch-rivals, Saint Helens to reach their first Challenge Cup final since 2004.

A tense time, certainly for us on the bench, as the Saints kept fighting back and needed just a try to send the game into extra time.

Fortunately the Warriors held on and we’re on our way to Wembley - the first time we’ve made that trip since 1998!
