Women Power Event At Harris & Ross

To celebrate the 100th anniversary of women voting this year, Harris & Ross are putting on an event to celebrate powerful women & encourage women to put their strength & wellness top of the agenda.

Held at our Wilmslow Clinic on 26th April from 1900-2030, attendees will hear from Career Mum– Amanda Newman & former Team GB athlete & world medallist Jenny Meadows. Talks will be followed by breakout sessions giving attendees tips & advise on injuries, exercise technique, strength building and alternative therapy options.

All attendees will receive a Harris & Ross gift bag & discount voucher

Clinic Director Intro & welcome from Harris & Ross clinic director Jeff Ross, former head physio to New Zealand Soccer and New Zealand Warriors rugby league, head Physio at the Manchester City Academy and then head physio at Sale Sharks before setting up Harris & Ross..

Career Mum Amanda Newman talks about her experience as a high flying career woman at Shell, and how she is now managing her return to corporate life alongside her new start up ‘Career Mum’, parenting 4 children & trying to stay fit and strong

Ex Team GB Athlete & Mum Jenny Meadows discusses what it takes to be a female athlete in top flight competition,  how she manages her own training and wellness regime, and how she has worked with Harris & Ross over the years

Break Out Sessions

Senior PhysioEmma Farr will be doing a talk about the sorts of injuries we commonly treat in women, her physio techniques & acupuncture services, aswell as running an acupressure workshop to aid with pain management, stress & anxiety relief.

Consultant PhysioSuzy Ross takes groups through the key stretches to ensure women warm up for sport correctly, the best exercises to build core strength & get back to exercising correctly after having children. Suzy will also be offering expert posture taping.

Podiatrist- Thomas Johnson takes groups through a gait analysis. Using the Harris & Ross video analysis techniques- attendees will be able to view where running technique could be improved for health and performance benefits.
