The New Year is looming and resolutions are being carefully thought out. It is that time of year, where we promise ourselves we will sign up for that marathon or triathlon or even strive to complete an Iron Man in 2016.
Whether you are that person or you know someone who aims to sign up for a challenge, we can help those to get on the right track.
We know how difficult it is to start training for an event, where to begin and how to go about preparing; which is why have we enlisted the help of High Performance Manager, Darren Roberts (a former military parachutist);
he is never too far away to whip people in to shape and guide them through training! Darren’s knowledge and expertise are in high demand, we count ourselves lucky that he is part of our team; and due to working with elite athletes all the time, you will be given the same treatment as the professionals undergo.
For those who are striving for that finish line, our exclusive High Performance session will indeed have you ready to pace that track. Devised by Darren himself, you can spend a morning or an afternoon and experience the ultimate 4 hour all encompassing experience, which involves a Physiotherapy Assessment with one of our sports physio’s, a Biomechanical assessment with our Lead Podiatrist, Will Joyce; Then Darren himself will take you through Isokinetic and Jump testing; plus a strength and conditioning assessment and a gym programme.
A session with one of our physios ensures you are in peak condition ready for your challenge.
During the Biomechanical Assessment, Will uses a wide range of assessment techniques to give you a comprehensive examination.The assessment studies flexibility, strength, alignment and posture, dynamic muscle strength, pressure analysis, joint and ligament integrity, nerve testing, and gait analysis in the lower limbs.
Darren will take you through the Isokinetic and Jumping test, where will examine your muscle and joint capability.
Many elite athletes have travelled across the globe to undergo strength and conditioning sessions with Darren, using the state of the art equipment available at our Wilmslow clinic, which means you will be in very capable hands to leave you prepared and have you performing your best for your challenge.
Whether for yourself or a loved one, this is the perfect preparation for anyone thinking of taking up a mammoth challenge.
Call us now to book in your complete half day experience at our Wilmslow clinic between the 4th Jan and 23rd Jan 2016.
