Manual Lymphatic Drainage

Manual Lymphatic Drainage (MLD) is a specialized, gentle massage technique designed to stimulate the lymphatic system. At Harris & Ross, our practitioners use the Vodder Technique to encourage the natural drainage of the lymph, which carries waste products away from the tissues and back toward the heart.

How Does It Work?
The lymphatic system relies on movement and breathing to function. When it becomes sluggish due to stress, travel, or illness, fluid can build up, leading to swelling and fatigue. MLD uses light, rhythmic, and precise hand movements to “unlock” these pathways and restore fluid balance.

Key Benefits:
Detoxification: Efficiently removes excess fluid and toxins.
Reduction in Swelling: Effective for edema, bloating, and water retention.
Immune Support: Enhances the body’s ability to fight infection.
Non-Invasive Relief: Ideal for those who find deep-tissue work too intense.

What to Expect: Your session will be tailored to your goals—whether that is full-body wellness or focused work on specific areas of congestion. Because MLD is a light-touch therapy, many clients find it to be one of our most relaxing treatments.

Aftercare: To maximize the benefits of your treatment, we recommend drinking plenty of water immediately following your session to support the lymphatic flush.
