"I had a total knee replacement on 3 Jan 2023. I chose to have it done privately, as there was a considerable NHS waiting list. As a private patient I was not offered NHS physio’ and I worked through the various exercises myself, which turned out to be a big mistake on my part. On the 28 February 2023 my surgeon reviewed my progress. He was extremely disappointed with my rehabilitation and wrote a harsh letter threatening me with manipulation under anaesthetic, if I did not improve within one month. When I first saw Diane Riding I needed urgent help to avoid manipulation which I was very apprehensive of and even scared of. Diane was able to focus my exercises and with her great skill and experience guided me. When I saw my surgeon a month later he was delighted and most surprised at how well I had inproved. It was entirely due to Diane’s input and my commitment to work hard in the gym. I have continued to do regular gym work and am very pleased with the result. I was able to walk in the Pyrennes in July 2023. Hill walking is a great passion of mine and my main motivation for having the replacement. I cannot thank Diane enough, she was kind, patient and told me exactly what I needed to do and why, all with a smile."
